As of Thursday, YaoiProse.com is offering for free the first part of their recently released eBook Incubus Master. Due to detailed sexual scenes and some violence, Incubus Master is for adults only.

The current free preview includes chapters 1-3 of the erotic boys’ love story that follows a young man named Jinady who is kept enslaved in the mountains by a band of incubus – demons who feed off the sexual energy of their partners. The preview, presented in HTML format, comes with the story’s cover illustration and the option to purchase a full version that includes a second mature-rated image.

Future installments of Incubus Master will be available via the Yaoi Prose website and EverythingYaoi.com for purchase. Part two is slated for release on January 12, 2010.

This past December, the web comic Whore of Turfan reached its one year anniversary – congratulations to the team! Myself included so a note on the semi-shameless self-promotion :)

In celebration we’ve got a snazzy new layout to the site as you can see but it doesn’t end there. The layout itself will still be tweaked with some great new graphics-in-progress this weekend plus look forward to some new media added to the site including banners, wallpaper and avatars.

With the new layout and tided navigation, there’s never been a better time to head over there and check out our last year’s worth of pages as the plot begins to thicken. I only vaguely know what’s coming but I can tell you it’s going to be one heck of a story – alas even the help must wait to find out! But it’s totally worth it.

Just in time for the New Year, Yamila Abraham – owner of Yaoi Press – has officially launched YaoiProse.com. Available to purchase on this site will be digital light novel-style boys’ love stories complimented by artists and characters familiar to fans of Yaoi Press’s library of current titles.

Their first release is Incubus Master:

“Incubus Master is an erotic ebook written by Yamila Abraham (Winter Demon, Dark Prince) and illustrated by Barbara Apostolico (Cain, Winter Demon).It will be serialized in eight parts over the coming weeks. Each section will have 6,000 to 7,500 words and a color illustration.”

Proceeds from the works purchased on YaoiProse.com will go towards funding future series, including sequels to both KOSEN’s Saihoshi and Yamila’s four-part fantasy series, Dark Prince.

I had the opportunity to read the first part of Incubus Master (my review you can read under the cut) which includes chapters one to three, totaling about 6000 words. It’s enough to feel like a pretty substantial one-sitting read without any hefty time investment. And if you’re in it for the sex scenes then you should be satisfied regardless .

Joining the other boys’ love publishers offering some spiffy deals this season, the semi-still-new-kid-on-the-block, Yaoi Generation, is offering cheap savings on shipping their books around the world. (via TheYaoiReview)

Until January 1st, all books shipped to Canada and the US will be free of shipping costs. Also for a select other number of countries, all books will be shipped at a flat-rate of $2/US. These countries are Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Currently the company has released volumes 1-4 of Chifumi Ochi’s breath, an enjoyable mature boys’ love read that I’d recommend to any fan of the genre. YaoiGen offers up quite a few deals throughout the year as well so certainly keep an eye out for future ones in 2010 and the first releases of their next series.

If there’s something more fun than reveling in what boys’ love is available now, it’s looking forward to what’s available in the future! Media Blasters – more specifically their imprint Kitty Media – has officially confirmed its March releases, and with a company so short on online resources for publicizing their books (not keen on the Flash-only website interface, MB), I can at least make the information available here. Y!Gallery (or rightly named, Yaoi Gallery) – the online home of nearly any and all things guy on guy related and very much for Adults Only – is currently looking for new staff to join their team. The website has recently gone through issues when its temporary new owner fled with some funds, but now back under new management and with a shiny new server under their belt, the site is looking for some trust-worthy moderators to help keep the fan-community behemoth in check.

Have a few hours each week to spend spelunking through every male-coupling imaginable from a vast pool of artists, writers and creators? Then this may be the volunteer work for you. The position entails “moderating the site, upholding the Terms of Service, and answering users questions in Gallery Star Runners” (Y!Gallery’s Help Desk).

Boys love and yaoi have always been the most used search terms for visitors coming to my main manga and review website, Kuriousity, so it seemed a natural fit to have a sister-of-sorts website for just such fans – thus on December 5 2009 came about Boys-Luv.com!
